Gibbous Tree

The “Gibbous Tree” doesn’t define the “phase”, like in talking about the moon, waxing gibbous or waning gibbous …the painting just hints at the transitional stage on the way to completion. The autumn time is embracing both fading and beauty, it is like waxing and waning at the same time, it is the “gibbous” time for the tree which seems amazed to realize it.
