Artist Statement

Autumn has always felt to me less like an ending than a revelation.
In this body of work, I have tried to follow the season inward — past the picturesque, past the familiar amber and rust of calendar photographs, into the emotional and almost musical logic that autumn seems to carry. The paintings gathered here are not records of specific places or particular days. They are attempts to render what autumn does to consciousness: the way it loosens things, stirs memory, makes beauty feel simultaneously abundant and fleeting.
